FAQ

Yes, we do accept donations of books in very good condition. We do not accept college textbooks older than 10 years, encyclopedia sets, or VHS videos. Also, please, no boxes that have been sitting in an outdoor shed. Books and videos (DVD or Blu-ray) will be sold with proceeds to benefit the library through the Friends of the Library.

Call the Library and ask to have your PIN reset. Please have your library card number handy.

You must have your library card to borrow library items. Regularly circulating materials have a checkout period of 3 weeks. DVDs and Blu-rays are limited to 4 checkouts per patron for a checkout period of 10 days.

You may need to call the library at (775) 945-2778 to renew any overdue books. Overdue books will block OverDrive checkouts. Also, from time to time your record needs updating and a block automatically occurs. Speak with a library staff member to update your record or verify that all information is correct.

Bring your device (phone, tablet, laptop) to the library. Ask at the front desk for login information, or see the sign posted near the door. The Wi-Fi is accessible outside on the library grounds as well.

If you have a Nevada state-issued ID or driver’s license, you will need to show that to us when we issue your card.

If you do not, please bring a state-issued picture ID or driver’s license, and proof of residence such as a piece of mail, utility bill, or copy of your lease.
